Conservation laws with boundary conditions: uniqueness, Finite Volume
method, error estimate
Abstract
The influence of the boundary conditions on (the solution of) a scalar
conservation law is not always completely clear: in particular, when a
numerical approximation is implemented, the numerical
boundary data have to be chosen carefully. We will illustrate this
situation on few examples met in an industrial context and then
present an analysis of the error between the entropy solution and its
approximation by the Finite Volume method.
